Become an OurSpace Host & Win Cash: First 100 Alberta Hosts Contest

Got a garage, basement, shed, or driveway you’re not using? This is the perfect time to list it. OurSpace is welcoming its first 100 Alberta hosts — and if you’re one of them, you’ll be entered for a chance to win one of three cash prizes.

What you could win:

  • 🥇 1st Prize: $300 CAD
  • 🥈 2nd Prize: $150 CAD
  • 🥉 3rd Prize: $100 CAD

Three winners will be randomly selected from the first 100 verified, eligible Alberta hosts after the contest closes.

How to Enter:

Entering is simple — and free. To qualify, you’ll need to:

  1. Create or sign in to your OurSpace account
  2. Complete host onboarding — a quick, guided setup in your account settings
  3. List an eligible space located in Alberta (garages, basements, spare rooms, sheds, closets, driveways, parking spaces, and more all qualify)
  4. Keep your listing live and accurate for 30 days after publishing. If it gets booked or rented during that period, that’s even better! You’ll start earning income from your space as well!

That’s it — one entry per person, and you’re in the running.

FAQS

1. Do I need to pay anything to enter?

No. Entry is completely free — no purchase is necessary for this OurSpace Alberta hosts contest, and OurSpace will never ask a winner to pay a fee to receive a prize.

2. How many times can I enter?

One entry per person and per OurSpace account. Publishing multiple listings does not increase your chances.

3. When will winners be announced?

Winners will be selected by random draw after the first 100 hosts have listed space, or by October 31st, whichever occurs first. Selected entrants will be contacted directly and must correctly answer a skill-testing question to be confirmed as a winner, in accordance with Canadian contest law.

4. What kinds of spaces qualify?

Garages, basements, spare rooms, storage rooms, sheds, closets, parking spaces, driveways, and other outdoor storage areas — as long as the listing accurately represents a real, currently available space.

OurSpace First 100 Alberta Hosts Contest

Official Contest Rules

The following are the complete, legally binding rules for the OurSpace First 100 Alberta Hosts Contest. Please read carefully before entering.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

The OurSpace First 100 Alberta Hosts Contest is sponsored and administered by OurSpace Technologies Inc. By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to comply with these Official Contest Rules and accepts the decisions of OurSpace Technologies Inc. as final and binding, subject to applicable law.

1. Contest Sponsor

The sponsor of the Contest is:

OurSpace Technologies Inc. Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Email: support@ourspacetech.com

In these rules, OurSpace Technologies Inc. is referred to as the “Sponsor” or “OurSpace.”

2. Contest Period

The Contest begins on July 29, 2026 at 12:00 AM Mountain Time and ends on the earlier of:

  • October 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time; or
  • The date and time on which 100 eligible entries have been received and verified by the Sponsor.

The period between the opening and closing of the Contest is referred to as the “Contest Period.” The Sponsor’s computer systems and platform records will be the official timekeeping devices for the Contest.

Reaching 100 entries does not mean that the prizes have already been awarded. The three potential winners will be selected from the first 100 verified eligible entrants after the Contest closes.

3. Eligibility

The Contest is open only to individuals who, at the time of entry:

  • Are legal residents of Alberta;
  • Have reached the age of majority in Alberta;
  • Own, rent, manage, or are otherwise legally authorized to offer the listed property or space for storage or parking purposes;
  • Have an eligible space located within the Province of Alberta;
  • Have an active OurSpace account in good standing;
  • Meet the eligibility requirements for becoming an OurSpace host;
  • Complete the required host onboarding process;
  • Publish an eligible space listing during the Contest Period; and
  • Are among the first 100 people to complete all entry requirements and have their entries verified by the Sponsor.

The Contest is not open to:

  • Employees, officers, directors, contractors, representatives, or agents of the Sponsor;
  • Individuals directly involved in administering or promoting the Contest;
  • Members of the immediate family of an excluded person;
  • Anyone living in the same household as an excluded person, whether related or not; or
  • Any person who does not meet the requirements of these Official Contest Rules.

For these rules, “immediate family” includes a spouse, common-law partner, parent, child, sibling, and the spouse or common-law partner of any such person.

4. How to Enter

No purchase or payment is required to enter. To receive one entry, an eligible person must complete all of the following during the Contest Period:

  • Download or access the OurSpace platform;
  • Create an OurSpace account or sign in to an existing account;
  • Complete all required host onboarding steps;
  • Provide the information and verification reasonably required by OurSpace;
  • Create and publish at least one eligible listing for a space located within the Contest Area; and
  • Keep the listing publicly visible and active on the OurSpace platform for a minimum of 30 days following publication, in compliance with OurSpace’s requirements, until the entry has been reviewed and verified.

A listing that becomes booked or rented during this 30-day period remains eligible and satisfies this requirement, provided it stays published and continues to accurately reflect the space. Listings saved as private, unpublished, or draft status during this period will not satisfy the entry requirements.

The entrant’s entry will be considered received when the Sponsor confirms that all required steps have been completed and the listing satisfies the Contest requirements. Creating an account without completing host onboarding and publishing an eligible listing will not constitute an entry.

5. Entry Limit

There is a limit of one Contest entry per person and per OurSpace account. Publishing multiple listings will not provide additional entries.

A person may not enter using more than one account, email address, phone number, identity, household member, business, or other method intended to obtain additional entries.

Multiple people may not enter using the same space unless each person has independent legal authority to list the space and the Sponsor determines that each entry is legitimate. The Sponsor may request proof of ownership, residency, management authority, or permission to list the property.

6. Eligible Listing Requirements

To qualify, a listing must:

  • Be located within the designated Contest Area;
  • Accurately represent a real and currently available space;
  • Include complete and accurate listing information;
  • Include original and accurate photographs of the space;
  • Meet OurSpace’s listing, safety, accessibility, and content requirements;
  • Be suitable for a permitted storage or parking use;
  • Be published and visible on the OurSpace platform;
  • Not duplicate another listing for the same space without the Sponsor’s permission;
  • Not use stolen, stock, misleading, altered, or unrelated photographs;
  • Not contain false, incomplete, misleading, or fraudulent information; and
  • Not be created solely as a placeholder or sham entry for the Contest.

Eligible spaces may include garages, basements, spare rooms, storage rooms, sheds, closets, parking spaces, driveways, outdoor storage areas, or other spaces approved by OurSpace.

The Sponsor may inspect, review, pause, reject, or remove any listing that does not satisfy these requirements.

7. Verification of Entries

All entries are subject to verification by the Sponsor. An entry is not officially eligible merely because it was submitted before the 100-entry limit was reached — it must also be reviewed and accepted as a valid entry.

The Sponsor may require an entrant to provide additional information, including:

  • Proof of identity;
  • Proof of age;
  • Proof of Alberta residency;
  • Proof of ownership, occupancy, management authority, or permission to list the space;
  • Additional photographs or videos of the space;
  • Confirmation that the space exists and is available;
  • Completion of identity or account verification; or
  • Any other information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility.

An entrant who does not provide requested verification within the timeframe specified by the Sponsor may be disqualified. If an entry is rejected or disqualified before the Contest closes, the Sponsor may allow the next verified eligible entrant to take that entrant’s position within the first 100 entries.

8. Prizes

There are three prizes available:

  • One first prize of $300 CAD
  • One second prize of $150 CAD
  • One third prize of $100 CAD

The total approximate retail value of all prizes is $550 CAD. Prizes will be awarded in Canadian dollars. Each entrant may win no more than one prize.

Prizes are non-transferable and must be accepted as awarded. No substitution will be permitted except at the Sponsor’s discretion where reasonably necessary or required by law. The Sponsor will not require a winner to pay any fee to receive a prize.

9. Winner Selection

After the Contest closes and the eligible entries have been verified, the Sponsor will conduct a random draw from all verified eligible entries. The draw will take place on or around November 15, 2026 in Calgary, Alberta.

Three potential winners will be selected without replacement:

  • The first eligible entry selected will be the potential $300 winner;
  • The second eligible entry selected will be the potential $150 winner; and
  • The third eligible entry selected will be the potential $100 winner.

The Sponsor may also select alternate entrants in case a selected entrant is disqualified, cannot be contacted, does not respond, or does not complete the winner-confirmation requirements.

10. Chances of Winning

If exactly 100 eligible entries are included in the draw, the overall chance of winning any prize is 3 in 100. The chance of winning a particular prize depends on the number of verified eligible entries included in the draw and the order in which entries are selected.

If fewer than 100 eligible entries are accepted before the Contest closes, the chances of winning will increase based on the final number of eligible entries.

11. Winner Notification

The Sponsor will attempt to contact each selected entrant using the email address, telephone number, in-app notification system, or other contact information associated with the entrant’s OurSpace account.

A selected entrant must respond within five business days after the first notification attempt, unless the Sponsor specifies a different reasonable period. The entrant is responsible for ensuring that their account information is complete, accurate, and capable of receiving communications from the Sponsor.

A selected entrant may be disqualified if:

  • The entrant cannot be contacted;
  • The entrant does not respond within the required time;
  • A message or prize notification is returned as undeliverable;
  • The entrant does not meet the eligibility requirements;
  • The entrant does not complete the required winner documentation;
  • The entrant does not correctly answer the skill-testing question; or
  • The entrant has violated these Official Contest Rules or the OurSpace Terms of Service.

If a selected entrant is disqualified, the Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner by random draw from the remaining eligible entries.

12. Skill-Testing Question

Before being confirmed as a winner, each selected entrant must correctly answer, without assistance and within a limited period of time, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsor. The question may be provided by telephone, video call, email, electronic form, or another method selected by the Sponsor.

A selected entrant who does not correctly answer the skill-testing question will be disqualified and will not receive a prize. The Sponsor may then select an alternate potential winner.

13. Winner Declaration and Release

Before being confirmed as a winner, a selected entrant may be required to complete and return a declaration and release form confirming that the entrant:

  • Meets all Contest eligibility requirements;
  • Complied with these Official Contest Rules;
  • Correctly answered the skill-testing question;
  • Accepts the prize as awarded;
  • Authorizes the Sponsor to verify the entrant’s information;
  • Releases the Sponsor and related parties from claims connected with participation in the Contest or acceptance and use of the prize, except where prohibited by law; and
  • Consents to the announcement of the winner’s name, city, province, likeness, photograph, or approved statement where such consent is expressly given.

Any publicity consent should be clearly presented and obtained in accordance with applicable privacy law.

14. Prize Delivery

Prizes will be delivered by [electronic transfer, cheque, gift payment platform, or another stated method]. A confirmed winner may be required to provide information reasonably necessary to deliver the prize.

The Sponsor will use reasonable efforts to deliver prizes within 30 days after each winner has been confirmed. The Sponsor is not responsible for prize-delivery delays caused by inaccurate information supplied by a winner, banking delays, circumstances outside the Sponsor’s reasonable control, or a winner’s failure to complete the required steps.

15. Disqualification

The Sponsor may disqualify an entrant or entry where the Sponsor reasonably determines that the entrant:

  • Provided false, misleading, incomplete, or fraudulent information;
  • Created a fake, duplicate, unauthorized, or misleading listing;
  • Submitted photographs that do not accurately represent the space;
  • Does not have legal authority to list the space;
  • Attempted to enter more than once;
  • Used multiple accounts or identities;
  • Manipulated or attempted to manipulate the entry process;
  • Interfered with the operation of the Contest or OurSpace platform;
  • Used automated entry methods, bots, scripts, or other prohibited technology;
  • Harassed or abused OurSpace personnel, users, or other entrants;
  • Violated these Official Contest Rules; or
  • Violated the OurSpace Terms of Service, Host Agreement, Community Standards, or other applicable policies; or
  • Engaged in conduct that could damage the Sponsor’s reputation, platform, users, or the integrity of the Contest.

Disqualification from the Contest does not limit the Sponsor’s ability to suspend or terminate an OurSpace account under its ordinary platform rules.

16. Listing Status and Host Participation

Entering the Contest does not guarantee:

  • That a listing will receive booking requests;
  • That a listing will generate income;
  • That an entrant will be accepted for every type of booking;
  • That the entrant will win a prize; or
  • That the listing will remain published if it later violates OurSpace requirements.

Unless otherwise stated by the Sponsor, an eligible listing must remain publicly visible and active on the OurSpace platform for a minimum of 30 days following publication. A listing that becomes booked or rented during this period remains eligible and satisfies this requirement, provided it stays published and accurately reflects the space. Listings saved as private, unpublished, or draft status during this period will not satisfy this requirement.

Hosts remain responsible for complying with all applicable laws, bylaws, lease terms, condominium rules, insurance requirements, mortgage conditions, property restrictions, and OurSpace policies.

17. Personal Information and Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with the Contest will be used to:

  • Administer the Contest;
  • Verify eligibility;
  • Review and verify listings;
  • Contact potential winners;
  • Award and deliver prizes;
  • Prevent fraud or misuse;
  • Maintain Contest records; and
  • Meet legal and regulatory obligations.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with the OurSpace Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy laws. Entering the Contest does not automatically provide consent to receive unrelated promotional emails or marketing messages. Where an entrant separately chooses to receive marketing communications, the entrant may withdraw that consent in accordance with the instructions provided in those communications.

The Sponsor will not publicly announce a winner’s full address, telephone number, email address, banking information, identification documents, or other sensitive personal information.

18. Publicity

Subject to applicable law and any separate consent obtained from the winner, the Sponsor may announce a confirmed winner’s:

  • First name and last initial;
  • City and province;
  • Prize won;
  • Approved photograph;
  • Approved video; or
  • Approved statement about the Contest or OurSpace.

Where the Sponsor wants to use a winner’s image, voice, story, testimonial, or likeness for advertising beyond a basic winner announcement, the Sponsor should obtain separate written consent. Declining optional promotional participation will not affect an entrant’s chances of winning.

19. Technical Problems

The Sponsor is not responsible for:

  • Internet, mobile, software, hardware, server, platform, or network failures;
  • Delayed, incomplete, lost, corrupted, or misdirected entries;
  • Incompatible devices or operating systems;
  • Failed uploads;
  • Incorrect account information;
  • Interrupted platform access;
  • Unauthorized human intervention;
  • Errors caused by circumstances outside the Sponsor’s reasonable control; or
  • Any inability to enter caused by an entrant’s device, internet connection, account, or failure to follow the entry instructions.

Where a technical problem affects an entrant, the Sponsor may review available records and determine whether the entrant completed the entry requirements.

20. Modification, Suspension, or Cancellation

Subject to applicable law, the Sponsor may modify, suspend, extend, or cancel the Contest where fraud, technical failure, platform interruption, insufficient eligible participation, legal restrictions, unauthorized intervention, or another circumstance beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control affects the fairness, security, administration, or integrity of the Contest.

The Sponsor will not modify the Contest in a way that unfairly disadvantages entrants who have already completed the entry requirements unless reasonably necessary. Where practical, notice of a material change will be posted on the OurSpace website, app, social-media account, or Contest page.

21. Decisions and Interpretation

The Sponsor’s decisions concerning eligibility, verification, entry timing, listing compliance, administration, and winner selection are final and binding, subject to applicable law. If there is a conflict between promotional material and these Official Contest Rules, these Official Contest Rules will govern.

The Sponsor may correct clerical, typographical, administrative, or printing errors, provided that the correction does not materially and unfairly change the Contest.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Sponsor and its directors, officers, employees, representatives, contractors, service providers, and agents will not be liable for losses, injuries, damages, claims, or expenses arising from:

  • Participation in the Contest;
  • Acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize;
  • A listing or property offered through OurSpace;
  • Technical or communication failures;
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of an entry; or
  • Circumstances outside the Sponsor’s reasonable control.

Nothing in these rules excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

23. Release of Social-Media Platforms

The Contest may be advertised through Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Nextdoor, Apple, Google, or other platforms. The Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any such platform unless explicitly stated otherwise.

By entering, entrants release the applicable social-media platforms from claims connected to the Contest to the extent permitted by law. Entrants understand that they are providing their information to OurSpace and not to the social-media platform through which they learned about the Contest.

24. Governing Law

The Contest and these Official Contest Rules are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta. Any legal proceeding relating to the Contest will be brought in Alberta, unless applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise.

25. Winner List

After the winners have been confirmed, the Sponsor may publish the winners’ first names, last initials, cities, and prizes won on the OurSpace website, app, newsletter, or social-media pages. A winner list may also be requested by contacting support@ourspacetech.com before December 15, 2026.
