ABOUT OURSPACE:

Making Storage Simpler, Local and More Human

OurSpace is a Calgary-built peer-to-peer storage marketplace launching across Alberta. We connect people looking for flexible local storage with hosts who have unused garages, basements, sheds, rooms, driveways and other suitable spaces.

By bringing renters and hosts together through one mobile app, OurSpace helps Albertans find storage closer to home while giving property owners a new way to earn income from space they already have.

What OurSpace Does

A Marketplace Built for Renters and Hosts

OurSpace is designed for both sides of the storage marketplace. Renters can explore local listings, compare space details, communicate with hosts and manage bookings through the app. Hosts can create listings, set pricing and availability, review booking requests and manage active bookings in one place.

Listings may include garages, basements, sheds, spare rooms, closets, driveways, parking spaces and other suitable storage areas, depending on local availability.

How the Idea Took Shape

Why We Built OurSpace

Inspired by Real Experience

Before building OurSpace, our founders used peer-to-peer platforms as flexible ways to earn income and support themselves. Those experiences showed us how technology can help everyday people make practical use of assets and resources they already have.

At the same time, we saw how much potentially useful space was sitting empty in garages, basements, sheds, rooms and driveways. OurSpace was created to bring those ideas together: helping people earn from available space while giving others another way to find storage within their own communities.

Built in Calgary, for Alberta Communities

OurSpace Technologies Inc. is a Canadian company built in Calgary, Alberta. Our first priority is developing a strong marketplace across Alberta by recruiting local hosts, helping renters discover nearby storage options and learning directly from the communities using the platform.

As OurSpace grows, the goal is to bring the same community-focused storage model to more Canadian markets. For now, we are focused on building a useful and trusted Alberta marketplace first.

Trust, Safety & Transparency

Built With Trust and Accountability in Mind

Storage arrangements involve personal belongings and privately owned space, so clear information and communication matter. OurSpace is designed to bring listing details, user profiles, booking information, in-app messaging, payments, reviews and support resources together in one place.

We continue to improve the platform’s verification, booking-security and support processes as the Alberta marketplace grows.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

What started as an idea between a brother and sister quickly grew into a shared mission. We saw empty space, people searching for better storage options and an opportunity to bring the two together. OurSpace was created from that spark, and we are excited to build a platform that opens doors for people and communities across Alberta.

Community is at the Core of OurSpace

OurSpace is being built around a simple idea: useful space already exists within Alberta communities. By helping hosts share that space with people nearby, the marketplace can create new income opportunities while giving renters more local options to explore.

We are working closely with early hosts, renters, supporters and community partners as the platform grows. Their experiences help shape the features, policies and support resources we build next.
